Send one copy of the manuscript (136-152 pages) in a plain envelope and a $20 entry fee, made payable toDeep Bowl Press, to:

via USPS only. Do not send via any other mailing service and please do not send using expedited delivery or in any form that requires a signature. Only mailed submissions can be accepted. Provide an email address on your cover letter for verification of receipt of manuscript.The manuscript should be in Times New Roman font, 12 point. Author’s name and address should appear on the Cover Page only and the manuscript should include an acknowledgments page, a table of contents, and an author biography of 75-100 words.

The manuscript should not be bound in any way. Simultaneous submissions are discouraged. We are not responsible for lost manuscripts. If you wish to track your manuscript, we suggest using delivery confirmation.All manuscripts must be submitted in English. No manuscripts will be returned, so be sure to send a copy of the original only. All manuscripts will be shredded at contest conclusion. Notification of results will be posted in July 2009.

ELIGIBILITY

Entrants must be 18 years old, female, legal citizens of the United States, and able to20accept the honorarium in the form of a US bank check.

WINNER RECEIVES

The winner receives honorarium of $1,000: half payable upon signing of contract and half payable upon publication in January 2010, publication of a paperback edition, and ten copies.
